Ecommerce Blog Automation Software: The Buyer's Guide for Shopify and WooCommerce
·6 min read
Ecommerce blog automation software finds the questions your buyers type into Google and ChatGPT, writes an article that answers each one, links it to the right product, and publishes it to your store's blog on a schedule. You connect your store once and the blog keeps growing without you writing, briefing or uploading anything. If that is what you want, choose a tool that does all five jobs described below. ecomrank does all five for Shopify and WooCommerce stores, for $99 a month for 30 articles, with a 7-day free trial.
People research before they buy. They ask how to choose a product, which option fits their use, how two products compare, how to use what they just found. Google answers those questions with articles, and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews answer them with the pages they find and quote.
The store that publishes the answer gets the visit, and often the sale, because the article sits one click away from the product. The store that has no article on the question does not exist for that buyer.
The catch is volume and consistency. One article answers one question. A catalog raises hundreds, and new ones every month. That is why most store blogs stall after a few posts: writing, briefing and publishing every week is a job nobody on a small team has time for. Automation exists to take that job off your plate entirely.
The five jobs a blog automation tool must do
A tool that only drafts text saves you typing, not work. To actually run your blog, it has to cover the whole chain.
Job
What it means for your store
Why it matters
1. Find the questions
Starts from your products and real search data, not a blank prompt
You publish what buyers already search for
2. Plan in groups
One main guide per topic, plus articles on the narrower questions around it
Search engines understand a topic better when several linked articles cover it
3. Write without making things up
Your store's language and tone, no invented statistics or fake studies
Wrong claims cost trust and get you in trouble
4. Link to your products
Every article points to the product pages and related articles it supports
The visit turns into a product view instead of a dead end
5. Publish and keep going
Articles go live on your blog on a schedule, month after month
One article a month never covers a catalog, one a day does
If a tool leaves any of these to you, count the hours you will spend on it every month before comparing prices.

The right choice depends on what you want from the blog. If you want a handful of brand stories in your founder's voice, a writer is a good fit. If you want your store to answer the hundreds of questions buyers ask about your products, every month, automation is the only option that scales without adding work.
How ecomrank works
1. Connect your store. On Shopify, install the ecomrank Publisher app from the Shopify App Store in one click. On WooCommerce, add the ecomrank plugin and paste your key. Connecting Google Search Console is optional and lets ecomrank see what you already rank for.
2. ecomrank reads your catalog and plans the articles. It looks at your products and finds the questions people search around them, using real search volume. It groups them into topics, with one main guide and supporting articles for each, and when Search Console is connected it skips questions one of your pages already ranks for.
3. An article goes live on your blog every day. Each article is written in your store's language, scored for quality before it is published, checked to keep out unsourced figures, and linked to the product pages it supports. Your dashboard shows what is published, what is coming next and, with Search Console connected, how often Google shows your articles.
Articles also carry clear, direct answers and FAQ markup, the format AI assistants pick up when they quote a source. You can check for free whether ChatGPT and Perplexity already recommend your store with the AI visibility checker.
What it costs
ecomrank costs $99 a month, excluding VAT, for your first store. That covers 30 articles a month, about $3.30 per article, planned, written, linked and published. Each additional store costs $79 a month, which is how agencies run it for several clients.
ecomrank starts with a 7-day free trial. If you do not keep it, you cancel from your billing portal in one click.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
ecomrank is built for Shopify and WooCommerce stores that sell physical or digital products and want more buyers to find them through Google and AI assistants, without hiring a writer or managing a content calendar.
It is not the right tool if your store has no product catalog, since every article starts from your products. It is also not a fit if you expect sales the week you start: search engines take weeks to show new articles and months before a growing library brings steady visits. Daily publishing is what makes those months count.
FAQ
What is ecommerce blog automation software?
It is software that plans, writes and publishes blog articles for an online store, starting from the store's products and from what buyers search, so the blog grows without anyone on the team writing.
Will Google penalize articles written with AI?
Google's published guidance says it rewards helpful content however it is produced, and acts against content made mainly to manipulate rankings. What matters is whether the article answers the buyer's question accurately, which is why ecomrank starts from real search questions, scores every article and keeps out unsourced figures.
Does it work with WooCommerce as well as Shopify?
Yes. Shopify stores connect through the ecomrank Publisher app, WooCommerce stores through the ecomrank plugin. Both get the same planning, writing and daily publishing.
Will the articles mention and link to my products?
Yes. Every article is planned from your catalog and links to the product pages it supports, so a reader who finds the answer is one click away from buying.
Does it help my store show up in ChatGPT and AI search?
Articles are written with direct answers and FAQ markup, the format AI assistants quote. Use the free AI visibility checker to see whether ChatGPT and Perplexity recommend your store today.
What is an automatic blog?
An automatic blog is a store blog that publishes new articles on its own. Blog automation software delivers it: automated blog posts planned from your products, written, linked to your product pages and published every day, without you writing or uploading anything.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your billing portal in one click. The articles already published stay on your blog.
